The mugs and t-shirts are 'all over red rover', Greg. However, I've got a 'never opened' bass t-shirt and a mug if you're interested. Strictly cost price.... let me know.

Cool idea! Paul, I'll be sending you some pics real soon--I think I know which one of my guitars will at least make it in the running! Image I've already got a great space on the wall above my desk ready to display 12 months of Rickenbeauty....right above the spot where my mug sits!

Incidentally, I had to retire my coffee mug to a full-time position on my desk as a pencil holder, as the coating with the photos has alarmingly started to chip, right on the face of "my" 325....

Will there be more mugs available soon?

Melissa, Aitch seems to be becoming our backup mug supplier...

I think you should call cafepress.com's customer service line and explain your problem. They will give you an RA number to return it for a replacement.

I have eight mugs (four of each) and no problems yet.

Howard if you've got any spares, (mugs), can you send me an email?

Paul, I don't know if they would replace my mug or not....it has had lots of heavy use since I bought it last spring! I don't mind looking at it on my desk--it's something to rest my eyes on when I'm not wandering over to this forum! But I am kind of bummed about it flaking off on my favorite guitar....

Melissa, let me know if you'd like it replaced--I've got an extra.

At least we can be reasonably sure that the calendars won't flake off, although they do tend to shed their months on a regular basis...

No problems, Ron. I've got a couple of spares and I'd be delighted to help out another Aussie forum member - and one who sold me a great guitar!

I can't find a Cape Express invoice for the mugs - how does $20 sound?

Paul, thank you for your kind offer--I will contact Cafe Press on Monday and see what they say.... If they will not take it back, I will be content to look at it on my desk....

BTW, if you get an overflow of images for the calendar, are you going to make a page-a-day calendar? 365 images of Rics to admire would be a great thing for my desktop! Image

For the life of me, I can't imagine that image flaking! All of my mugs--I've got 8 or 9 between here and the office--are pristine and they've had heavy use...perhaps CP forgot to coat yours, or something got left out in the manufacturing process, which is why I suggested contacting them.

A Rick-a-Day calendar would be superb, but:

Choosing and editing and regularizing 13 large photos is still enough of a task, that doing 365 gives me the chills.

I know of no online on-demand printer who offers this option, probably because it's a hassle for them, too.

The desktop on my computer (Apple, OS10.3.9) changes its Rick images every day at random, and I have about 500 in the folder.

I'm guessing it's going to be a monumental task to pick just 26! I can't imagine that any of mine are interesting enough to be chosen, even the 4080 is a common color. Dale/Dave's refin project, however would be a first rate candidate if it's done in time!

I think Paul's Ric refin projects alone would be worthy of a calendar! Image

That's an excellent idea!

It would be fun to do a calendar, not of 13 different guitars, but 13 shots of a guitar restoration, or possibly montages of the restoration, ending with some beauty shots.

For now, however, it will be a member's hardware calendar.
