Just FYI: Jack has gotten very conservative in his
"older" age. He very rarely goes for the chord thing any more. The only thing that comes immediately to mind is the last E-chord in "I See The Light."
Believe it or not, as much as I love Jack I'm not crazy about the Epi and never got one.
It is a big machine and I don't like the neck profile (kinda big and round for my taste). I prefer smaller necks like Ibanez.
What's your favorite song from Folk Den Project?

Cole, thanks for the heads up but I never considered a 4003.
I was never into the Wakeman thing (though I like his playing a lot).
The one I drool over is the 4005, remember?
(It's the one that looks a little like a 360 guitar.)
Speaking of which, there is a Rik site that shows a 4005 with a "light show" inside that they say was once owned by Casady. I asked Jack once if he ever had a 4005 and he said no. (Though I didn't specifically mention the light show one.)

I think you mean Squire thing.
Yes, the 4005 is a just a 360 bass. I think it was The Who bassist who once owned the lightshow 4005. BTW, McGuinn had a lightshow 12 string with slant frets in the 70s. It was once owned by a member of our fair board Mr.Jennings. I think it's now in that music thingy in Seattle. Not sure what it's called but Hendrix's strat is there along with a few other celib guitars EVH's Charvel comes to mind.

Cole,
You might be right, it might have been Entwistle who owned the lightshow bass.
But, uh, it's actually THIS site that says it belonged to Casady:
http://rickresource.com/rrp/temptingbass.html
Scroll almost all the way down.
Sorry.
I can ask Jack again.
