Jared isn't the only one. I'd love to find one of those. Lovely.

Yes, Bobcat, that can, and has, been done. The vol/vol/tone is one way to go, or the stacked knobs.

I think I remember the stacked knob mod usually leads to the selector switch not being used?

After playing my Laredo for about 10 months, I feel no need to modify the electronics. Image

Here's a pic of my Laredo:

Ummmmm.......Brian, shouldn't you have just said "my 4004LK" ? .... because the way you phrased it ... it sounds like you may own multiple LK's... Image

Nice, Ed. Here's mine, a '97 with the maple neck, original pickup placement, and with the vol/vol/tone mod.

Having VVT controls add much to the useful sounds available; rolling the neck PU back a tad opens the sound up and it gets a bit more growly, for one thing.

Wow Paul! It’s amazing that sweet bass left Jeff’s house with only 4 strings!

The setting on my Cii’s are at full tilt – don’t need VVT

....OK, any leads for around $8K (not double).

I'd opt for the dual concentric pots for slightly more flexibility over the VVT (plus I like the toggle option and no drilling required) but I'm with Andy.....both controls cranked does the trick so why do it with more when two controls will do. I tend to get my subtle variations in tone through technique and more drastic through stomp boxes and I have my amp settings dialed in for my straight "go to" tone that sounds best with my Ric controls maxed.
