Ditto. IIRC, many artists who belong to BI, were born 1940 to 1945...

Just noted on one US Site they quote Freddie as being 69 which is where Glenn probably noted the age, I am fairly confident he was 65 in November last year

The Liverpool Echo states his age at time of death as 69 also.Image

A number of sites say 69 but I am fairly certain he was 65 born November 14th 1940

If you believe that to be correct, Roy, that's good enough for me.

Thanks Jerry but it did transpire that when Tony Jackson of The Searchers died a while back he was a couple of years older than all the publicity, reference sources said and that is not speculation but based on his birth certificate.

I am sorry to hear that Freddy passed away.

Like others here I enjoyed his zany antics and the music of Freddie and the Dreamers when it was first released.

It was sad for me to hear that Freddie had passed away. Hearing Freddie sing "I'm Telling You Now" was always one of those songs that I would find myself singing along with whenever I heard it being played.
This morning I was watching a video titled, "The British Invasion - First Wave", and there is a cool performance of Freddie and the Dreamers singing I'm Telling You Now. They were all doing their fancy dance steps and looked pretty sharp in their suits. Naturally, all the little chicks in the audience were screaming, while the older folks looked on and smiled. (After all, Freddie and the boys were fun, playful and wholesome.) I like 'em!!

Rest in Peace, Freddie. -- Skip

That video is a crack up, Mike. Even the guitarists in the background are flinging their legs around in unison. Funny

Thanks for sharing, Mike - that's cool. Reminds me of the times when i was a kid... we used to do the Freddie back then, but only much later i found out how this dance was called.
