Kent, love the appraisals!
What would they have thought about:
- Lou Reed
- Neil Young
- Joe Strummer
- Alex Chilton
- Iggy Pop
- Kim Carnes, for that matter
- and, the man, Tiny Tim?

No American Idol for Paul
The Beatles' digital debut, along with the reissues and the Cirque du Soleil show, mark a prominent re-emergence for the Fab Four.
"It's all loosening up with the Beatles this year," says Ken Warwick, executive producer of American Idol, which is planning a 'Beatles Night' for the current season, in which contestants will sing Beatles songs.
But the Beatles will only go so far.
Despite Idol producers' claims to the contrary, Paul McCartney will not be a guest judge.
"They called,' says a source close to McCartney, 'and we declined--as has been the case for the past two years.'"

I'd watch then, if Tap judged. That'd be a hoot!
