Didn't our old friend Ken have one of these? Is this the same bass?

Congrats Paul! Now you'll have to take a new family picture.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Sniff... Cough...
This is the one I was about to bid on with hours to go till it was removed from ebay due to the forum sale. I'm happy it found a home with someone else on the forum and it appears that the seller got what he wanted for it. Both buyer and seller got what they wanted.
I later latched onto on 4003S Mapleglo and was quite happy about that, so it all turned out well in the end. I remember enjoying reading the thread that summarized the refinish of the "bright white" bass step-by-step. I'm sure it was tough to part with after all that investment of dollars and emotion.
I think I am about over my need for an older "white" (notice the quotes) 4001/3. I've got four Ric basses now (3 are relatively rare) and with the recent kick up in value it seems to be a good time to stop and smell the roses, err Rics. I also now own the same # of basses as I do trombones, so I figure that is a good "magic" number.

Might you have a link to that refinish thread? I'd like to read up on it. Thanks.

Re: None more white!
My 05 Laredo is getting refinished in this same color scheme, white w/walnut wings/chrome hardware. Should be stunning as well but won't be done until maybe the summer.

Re: None more white!
Congrats Paul. I'm also glad this one stayed in the family. I just went back and looked at the restoration thread. It was fun to watch the bass as it progressed from dream to reality.
I hope all is well with Sean too.

Yes, Jeff, I hope he is well. Sean (Kelly) apparently put his dream bass up for sale due to health issues (undisclosed to us). I hope the sale was able to help the situation. It's found a good home. Here she is with the rest of the family:

Paul,
Is that 4001JG in the back right of the photo the same one that you had a few years ago in Millwaukee with the black plastic? I thought you sold that.
