Yeah, that would be me. The pad is still on the bass, it really is not as bad as it seems and does keep the back from getting the dreaded stinkfoot, er, I mean, buckle rash. 8)

This is how it looked when I bought it, before correcting some minor issues like the pickguard, PG screws and knobs.

Seller does say that the studded codpiece :wink: is a hunka leather with all those thingies fastened onto it, and that it is detachable. Looks like snaps hold it on (look at the one right below the neck heel...you can see the half that's screwed into the body...)This means, maybe only four or five holes to fill. Bridge pickup--can't really tell what the butchery might be there...New bridge...maybe fill another half-dozen holes total. This one could be a bargain for a '72...

I actually won the auction for that bass and the seller backed out on me after I won - i was very angry.
