Good guess Scotty but no.

Here's a further hint. There are actually two bands that became famous as a result of The Commitments. One of the bands was a big hit in both The UK and Australia.

The band Billy Talent took it's name from one of the characters in this film. (the guy on the right, Kallum Keith Rennie. His character's name was Billy Tallent, lead guitarist)
I saw that movie, and it was indeed good.

Another one — Global Heresy. The trailer is the only thing i've found on the web. Love that movie.

Hi Greg,

No but you are warmer. The lead guitarist of the band in question was in the film and so was the violinist, albeit briefly.

Anyone remember "Stillwater" from the movie "Almost Famous"?

In 1973 Stillwater toured the US on their Almost Famous tour in support of their new record Farrington Road that featured the hit single Feverdog.
