Do you know Goofyfoot, you have to be the RRF's inhouse Philosopher. You always put our fears and concerns right into perspective, no matter what it is.
For that, we thank you.

Whenever this debate arises, I always think of one thing...

I personally like to peel the sticker off then boil it for 20 mins until soft
add 20 pints of milk and simmer until milky
leave in fridge to set
add 1 tin of peaches
rest
Blend then add 20 Jaffa cakes to mix
Roast in oven for 30 mins until golden
add some Ben and jerrys Chunky monkey and 1 spoonful (Tea spoon) of Honey
and bin the lot

A lot of Rick hardware is made in Germany, isn't it?
I dunno, but that's exactly what Paul told me. 100% Amuriken.

I took mine off right away. I didn't know that it had any special significance. I did, however, keep it! I attached it to the original reciept.

The Schaller tuners are made in Germany. The CTS potentiometers, I remember John Hall saying, used to be made in America, but have switched their manufacturing operations to Indonesia. He said they're better quality now, so he hasn't bothered to change. As far as I know, those are the only Rickenbacker parts made outside of the U.S.
I remove my Made in America stickers and put them on the backside of the TRC. They're always there, and they don't wear.

Aaawwhhh shucks, Rickygirl. You're awfully kind to express that sentiment. A thousand thanks --- I feel validated! Actually, you hit on a cogent point. Perhaps it is exactly what you wrote that makes me revisit this forum time and time again. The landscape here is populated with beaucoup folks, whose thoughts really express cool sensitivities and sensibilities. Keep on keepin' on.
Ciao for now.........

There's an old thread on this subject ... IIRC it got a bit heated back then!
Personally, I leave mine on, but to each his own.

I've heard a rumor that they were seriously considering outsourcing Illinois...

I found mine getting scratched and worn from picking the guitar, so..... I removed the top pickguard, peeled off the label, and re-stuck it to the underside of the pickguard, along with one of my self-sticking return address labels that I use for mailing. The "Made In America" sticker stays with the guitar, along with my address for returning the guitar, in case it ever gets lost or stolen.
