Dry you eyes Brian! lol and give your nose a big blow....As far as Beatles songs go none changed my life im still waiting.I must admit that don't let me down is a good song tho!

When I was very young, my parents had the Abbey Road album. I remember playing the end of She's so heavy on the turntable with the volume up thinking it was the end of the world. I still love the end of that song at full volume, as it takes me back to the time where I lost my sanity.

Nowhere Man. Because even though it sounds like a sad song, it has hopeful lyrics that helped me through a rough time.

"Nowhere man, don't worry
Take your time, don't hurry
Leave it all till somebody else lends you a hand."

I still think of this as my theme song and I play it all the time. On a Rick of course.

There isn't one, but put together it's safe to say that all of our lives were changed.

I think "A Hard Day's Night" because of the opening chord and closing rif. I remember we were on vacation at a family friend's place on Lake Michigan and we played the hell out of that album over those two weeks. Then the Byrds came on the radio with MTM a little while later and...

Bangla-desh - by George Harrison... That song changed many lives, not only mine. It was George's concept of doing a "concert for..." that started all the "concerts for" causes, and many lives and much good has been done over the years because of his concept. I was lucky enough to have attended the recording session for that 45 single record (not the concert DVD). The single was recorded at Wally Heider's secret unmarked studio #4 on Cahuenga Blvd., in Hollywood (1971). Leon Russel was on piano, Jim Keltner drums, Carl Radle bass, Gary Wright harmonium, Phil Spector producer, and Badfinger vocals/percussion. George played an old rental Gibson J-180 or 200 acoustic (can't remember---but I think it was a J-200). What a night. They cut only two tracks, Bangla-Desh and Deep Blue, and we were there 'til sun-up the next morning. It was truly inspiring. That night was one of the sparks that kick started my 35+ years as a pro musician. I will never forget George's intensity and focus on getting that song finished. It was truly an incredible experience that I will never forget...

Martin, I bought that single from Tower Records in San Francisco the day it was released, and I treasured it. Both were great songs in his classic best style. Not many people knew the studio version.

She Loves you was the fisrt Beatles song I heard on the radio as a child, I've sung it many times in my old Beatles tribute band. That song made me want to be a singer and muscian like my dad was ( a drummer). So yes The Beatles in general changed my life in the musical sense at 8 years old.

It's an interesting question....I don't think for me there was necessarily an epiphany of any sort. I got into The Beatles kind of in the middle, then worked outward in both directions at once.

My mom & dad bought Magical Mystery Tour for me at Christmas when it came out. Now I'd seen them on Sullivan a few years earlier, and generally was aware of their stuff on the little AM portables we carried around as kids, but getting this record (my first "grown up" record!) really lit my interest. I started going to record stores with my allowance and looking for more of their records, which of course meant all their earlier stuff. So while most of my friends were getting more into the contemporary stuff in the later '60s, I was going retro. Then of course, every time a new single or album came out, I was all over it.

Overall impact wise, I'd guess the White Album probably made the biggest hit with me--I went through two copies of it fairly quickly from wearing the grooves out. Some of my absolute favorite stuff of theirs is still off this album.
