Beatles songs that changed your life?
There are several Beatles songs that changed my life:
She Loves You -- This was the first Beatles' song I had ever heard. If not for this song, I wouldn't be into the good music that I am in to. I probably wouldn't play guitar...and I would have never learned about the different kinds of guitars, which means I wouldn't be here
Every Little Thing -- When there's a girl I like, I always listen to this song to feel good
Hey Jude -- Sure, this song has a REALLY long chorus, but hey, the lyrics always make me feel good when I'm down. When I first heard this song on my parents "1" album, I knew The Beatles were my favorite band.
I'll post more that I can think of, right now, I gotta get to Math class!

I guess it would have to be "All My Loving," which they opened with on their first Ed Sullivan Show appearance. I had heard IWHYH on the radio, but it was the visual impact that turned me into a bass player. That's how I made my living for more than 25 years and I still pull in 1/3 of my income from playing bass. And playing bass allowed me to meet all the people I've met and make all the mistakes I've made for 43 years. Changed my life? Absolutely.

Probably IWTHYH, and as the years went on it eventually led to a life of debauchery.

First I saw a Beatles tribute band, then the Yellow Submarine movie.
The first song I was really hooked on was IWTHYH...I used to walk around and sing it all the time.
The most important for me Rick-wise was probably 'I Should Have Known Better' - as portrayed in AHDN. I remember staring at the screen thinking 'someday I'll have that guitar...'

Then I bought the Sgt. Pepper album, so the first song I learned to play was 'A Day in the Life.'

That's the one that turned it for me, and in my case it didn't take too many years ...
All I wanna do is rock!

Too many to list...
In some ways their whole catalog changed my life, their existence changed my life.
But some songs have their own stories. "Eight Days a Week" and "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party" really turned me on my ear when I was a very wee lad. To this day they remind me of my earliest memories.
I sang "A Day in the Life" to a crowd of people on the night Lennon died, just after telling them what had happened, and they laughed, thinking it was part of my comedy routine or something. Midnight in St. Cloud and they're laughing. As the song went on, people verified that what I had just said was true, and the crowd just grieved for the next hour while I played Lennon songs.
"Money (That's What I Want)" was such a great song to play on an acoustic guitar at a party. So many really funny moments came out of playing that song with a crowd singing along, and dancing.
"And I Love Her" haunted me all summer as a kid up at the cabin in Crane Lake by the Canadian border. That song was so beautiful to me that whenever I play it or think about it, I always go right back to the way I saw it when I was that boy in 1965.

Perhaps "A Hard Days' Night" for me, simply because it's the title song from the movie. That movie had a real impact on me. I watched it recently, and it still brought a smile to my face. And it made me glad I get to do what I do for a living all over again.

Re: Beatles songs that changed your life?
Way way back in 1964, when i was a little tacka, the type of records played in my house consisted of Rolf Harris, Burt Bacharach, Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass etc. etc. So for me to hear for the first time a band called The Beatles singing From me to you, well, that changed my life. I was hooked,......................... maybe the saturday morning cartoon show was "brainwashing", but it worked, we knew every word for every song.
My eldest son is now 5, and has clicked as to what the obsession his father has, is! He sings Get Back, Love me do ,and The ballad of John and yoko, all word perfect!!

I recall being so unsophisticated in 1965 that I was sure only a guitar master could play the arpeggios in "And I Love Her." I'm surprised I didn't explode when Van Halen came out.lyle_from_minneapolis wrote: "And I Love Her" haunted me all summer as a kid up at the cabin in Crane Lake by the Canadian border.
