Very nice, Collin. You'll have to bring it by when you come for the Rittor book.

Start with bashing into a 4-12 cabinet.

Haha....it looks like it's already had the PT treatment (old headstock repair and worn toggle switch....hmmmm, PT connection?)
Thanks for all the congrats, guys! It's a gem, I'm pretty stoked.
Cheers,

Welcome to the RM 1998 owners club, Collin! That's a gorgeous example you've found, well done.

Before anyone says anything, see my thread about me taking two weeks off (I'm dropping in for the weekend)...
So, Collin, you wanna give it PT treatment, eh? Why don't you add a Gibson ES-175 tailpiece to it? Then it'll look like his first 1998!

I'd like to be a member of this club as well Darren. Does anyone want to give up their spot? I could offer a bunch of stuff in trade -- like money, my Davey Crockett lunch box and thermos, my soul.

Trotty, I see you're wearing your matching accessories from the Buffalo Exchange.

) Thanks!

Mostly because I think it looks stupid. I'm into getting the guitar, but not so into detailed minutiae of a players instrument (I'll leave that for the Beatle geeks and V81's.

Plus I'd have to drill a hole in the lower horn----not so cool.
Plus it's survived as original for almost 45 years. I'm not about to start modding it!

Was it ever discovered WHY there was a big hole in the lower horn of Pete's first 1998?
Collin, do you have pics of the headstock repair? What kind of amps do you use with it? To really be like Pete, try and find a 60's Fender Bassman! That was his rig in the old days (I'm sure you know that he ran the Bassman through the Marshall 4X12s until they switched over to VOX in July of 1965).
