Beachwood Sparks ! They have more than a little Gram Parsons in their mix ,but definitely a Byrds influenced band . The self titled album came out in 2000 and has quite a few Jangly numbers .

Beachwood Sparks...I love that name! I wish I had thought of it. I'll have to check out their recording. Do they sell through CDBaby.com?

Hey Jim-
Did you finally get your 360/12?!?! I'm looking at your icon there, and this appears to be so.
Best, Christian

Yup. It arrived on April 24. I've hardly been doing anything else musically but playing it.

If you're looking for some recent Byrds influences bands I can highly recommend The Quarter After. I have their Changes Near CD and it is really great. There are some real gems on there. They rock a bit harder than The Byrds, but there is plenty of jangle and vocal harmony on tap. Another band to check out is The Sails. Less Byrdsy, but great 60's vibe and harmonies.

I've heard of Quarter After. They're friends on my Myspace page.

Pretty cool Dano, too!

You guys should check out the British band Diesel Park West. They've been around making great records since 1987, and they're influenced by The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Moby Grape and Big Star among others. Their latest CD, "Blood & Grace" has a lot of Rick 12 string stuff on it.
