My vote, as well.

In the "Does this help?" pic that brammy posted, the Ric is not the same as John's. I'm not up on the Ric model numbers, but my sister had
the Rutles LP back in the day (still might). "John's Ric" was not readily available as a reissue in the late '70s. Ron Nasty played a model that
was close (a "Tom Petty" model?), but the top cutaway was like a 4001 (OK, I owned one of those and know the model number). In a still
photo inside the album cover, Nasty covered the "horn" so we couldn't tell it wasn't The Real Deal. :D I'll see if I can't find a better example...

I'll check in my basement; maybe I have her Rutles LP! But try these for now:

I'd agree. In the top photo it looks like an SG.

But it the bottom one it looks much too wide (from floor to ceiling).

Must be the angle.

Dean: The Rick played by Ron Nasty is either a 615 or an RM1995. It must be an original 60's model because the video was shot in 1977 or 1978, long before an reissues were available. Oddly enough, when I was in college a favorite club band featured an identical Rick. They were called The Explosives from Austin, Texas and their guitarist was named Cam King. They gained some notoriety as Roky Erickson's back-up band circa 1980. Cam also played several Rick 360/12's in addition to his Gretsch guitars. I often wonder what ever happened to him.

Looks about right, based on the SG sitting on my lap for comparison.
