Not too many to miss, usually I sell to upgrade.

I do kinda wish I'd hung on to my c58, but it has a good home now, and I'm happy with my Miami. :) I also had a Mexican Tele that I let go of for too little, it would have made more sense just to keep it.

Missed purchase opportunities? Too many to count!

There is a '59 RI Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins down in New Orleans that's still for sale...I really want it, but I guess we can call it "The One That Got Away for Jake"

Just a few for me
71 Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top,this thing was the best sounding Les i ever owned .
Bought it for £450, sold it for £550.
1990 325V59 MG, nice little guitar that just didn't get played enough sadly.
1978 Gretsch Super Chet,i sold this to my uncle ,and i want it back!
1968 Hofner Beatle Bass ,it had the tone, got it in 1988 for £250 and let it go back 1998 for £750.
I really miss my 2 MIJ Fenders ,62 Tele Custom and 57 Strat ,i loved those guitars .

I also have should've bought's.
The best one was a 1964 1997 with original silver case ,the shop had no clue what they had and where asking ,wait for it,£299 .This was back around 1990/91, it was a little rough, changed tuners ,missing arm on the trem ect..

The other was a 1963 Strat refinished but original pickups ect..asking price ,£1200,this was around 1992
I bought the Super Chet instead,D'OH!

There's alot more too,Jazzmasters,Jaguars, Tele's,ES 295,345's ect... but i don't want to think about them

The only guitar I still miss is a 1987 Strat Plus. I can't say I regret it though, because I traded it for my 620.
Jangle, Chime & Twang.

Once again....to be "one that got away" you had to have HAD it in the first place, Jake.

I'll probably kick myself every day for selling my 365OS, but I still don't regret it---it went to our own Danotron, and he seems pretty stoked!

You are always welcome to visit it Collin! It's not going anywhere.

I think we all have some that got away though.

My two biggest "what was I thinking" guitar sales were a 1962 Gibson SG/Les Paul with the ebony block. I sold it in 1993 for $2000 and thought I made out like a bandit (I had paid $1200 for it) ...............now I see them on eBay listing for $25,000!

The other one was a 1967 Ric 360F. I had bought it from the Guitar Brokers in Florida. It was poorly refinished in Jetglow and you could see the outline of a large repaired crack under the finish on the top. For some reason it really bothered me so I ended up selling it. At that time I had no idea that I would meet people like our own Paul W who probably could have restored it perfectly.....Doh!

Now you NEVER see them for sale or if you do it for a super high price.

At least I still have my pictures!

Guitar - Mid-40's Martin 000-28, 1972, sold for (gulp) $325.
Car - '61 TR3 after a full restoration, 1983 after being b**ched at incessantly by my (now ex) wife about how much it cost. I should have put up with her verbal abuse for another 3 years and until I finally divorced her in early '86.

I still miss my Dano 'Commie Red' double cutaway. What a great little guitar!

The Rics I've parted with (340/6 DG, 650A/VT, 335 MG, 340/12 MidBlu) are like thinking of beautiful lovers from another time. They were gorgeous, but it didn't work out...

Miss my Fender Aerodyne Telecaster a bit (what a tone!).

Well, there were some guitars (and one keyboard) that did get away, back in the mid-'90s, to buy an investment motorcycle. Then the bike went away when I moved to Brasil, and I replaced it again when I got back. So that's copacetic.

But the guitars and keys I'll probably never see again:

A 1977 Ibanez "lawsuit" Howard Roberts jazzbox, that was nicer than the "real" Gibson thing. I bought it new in'77, and have not seen another like it. It was all maple, deep burgundy, with gold hardware, arch top, oval sound hole, and lovely tone from its single neck-mounted mini-humbucker. Wish I had it back...

A 1970 Gibson Les Paul Personal in MINT condition. Gibson made very, very few of these--around 140 or so, spread unevenly over 3 years. Gold hardware, low-impedance pickups, decade tone switch, microphone jack on the upper bout, transformer in the line cord. Dark mahogany, and probably 13 pounds. Tone possibilities beaucoup. I miss it dearly, and have replaced it with one that needs a 100% resto. No time for that right now, unfortunately.

A '68 Jazzmaster; again, very nice. Block inlays, bound neck, coral pink custom color. Sold on to a guy in Basel, Switzerland.

The keyboard was one of the first ARP Quadras sold; bought new in '80 from David Abell in LA. I had it for about 15 years. Should have never sold it. They come up for sale very infrequently at silly prices, and are usually pretty beat. One of the last best analog synths with all sorts of great features. Unfortunately, not programmable with software, but it did have presets that could be saved.

Then there was the brown Tolex Fender Pro with a 15" JBL, from 1961 and also in perfect shape, along with a '63 tube reverb.

Regrets about all, but I'm not jumping off any bridges.

I still wish I'd never sold my '74 4001 MG. I have yet to find one I like as well (though my '76 4001 is close).

As for other stuff, well, probably the keyboard I liked best and wish I still had was a Sequential Circuits Prophet 10. Nice fat analog sound!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
