That would be possible if he'd come down to the So Cal jam next month.
I'd also like to get a pic of his Cii BBR together with mine...and a pic of the two So Cal Scotts together. :)

The cool thing is Tony, is if your strings have enough tension and the neck is dead straight, you *might* be able to get it nearly the same 1-2 mm of action across the entire register and have no fret buzz! Now that would be great. I've gotten close to that before but on all of my Rics the saddles sit a little too high for that to be possible even when bottomed out on the stock bridge. Meaning, I have 2 mm of action at the 12th fret and 2.5-3 mm of action at the 20th on every one of my basses, so it's closer to consistent than most basses are when bought new but still not truly perfect.

From what I remember about Tony's Cii, it has a neck that after it's tuned up, it says to the strings, "HA, is that all you've got?! Even with the nuts completely loose on the truss rods, the neck was dead straight. He could put some higher tension strings on it with no problem.

Sounds pretty good Joshua, I think I'm going to give it a go. I really would love to get the action a tad lower....

Joey, you were correct....the nuts on the truss rod are just over finger tight...The neck is dead flat. I'm pretty happy with the stock RIC strings, I even replaced them once so I don't see a need to go to anything else. IF I do try something, it will probably be my DR Highbeams.
