Hmmm....and maybe I could put the Hi-Gains on my LP? In all seriousness, the only mod I think I'd ever consider to my Rick would be to try out the Rick humbuckers. Nothing like a semi with 'buckers.

No, no! It is an air bass in mindglo!

By the way, I think it it is better to have some desires than to be a poor rich guy with parents that kill every desire by buying it immediately.

Yeah, you really understand the value of it then.

I believe in the idea that every purchase of a Rickenbacker should mark a special point in life, just for me, of course. That keeps me away from RAS. Well, unfortunately it works.

This way does not fit to collectors, indeed!
I am happy some people do that. A wide range of Rickenbackers at home is quite fascinating, of course!
All instruments, with all of their differences allow more insights how these were made at certain times. But beside the differences: all of them carry the same spirit.

Marvellous thing!

Been there, done that!

I've since sold my HB equipped 360, but as far as I know the current owner still has the HBs in it.

Wow, would be really interested to hear what the HB1s sounded like compared to the Hi-Gains, and maybe compared to more conventional humbuckers.

Welcome from another new guy.

Good to hear about the versatility of a Ric guitar... I have only Ric basses, but have considered a guitar... I thought exactly as you that it would be a "one-trick jangle machine." Interesting that it's as versatile as you describe.

I've always thought the Ric guitars were and are some of the most beautiful guitars ever made, period. 8)
