Good question! Since I live in this house I can't remember it raining.
What stuff are you on, Wim? Must be potent!
JG + aging = green? Why?
Just enjoying the house.

My 320 is 32 years old, doesn't look green.
It does in fluorescent light though.

That yellow will go away when you have cataracts removed.

Excellent point Ken. You have renewed my faith in the aging process.

Clear finishes such as urethane, nitro cellulose, and others are sensitive to UV light. That's what causes the yellow color. Check out old PC and TV cabinets with urethane contents in the plastic - they also turn yellow as do wooden cabinets. The yellow shine has not much to do with smoke, beer, and small dark pubs

Discoloring caused by a dusty and smokey environment can easily be removed with naphta or a good guitar polish.

The shelves I built into my son's bedroom wall for him to store books in were painted Blue Boy blue, like the walls, and I put polyurethane on them to help them wear better then just the latex paint. They are turning the Blue Boy Green quite (un)nicely.

I quit smoking three years ago, cleaned the guitar a few times with the advised product, and now it's in bright sunlight every day.
It is now less yellow than it was before.
and then all your glue joints will start moving !!!

Ron: Are you able to comment on the advised product? Did you use the Sussex Golden with wooden shaft Q-tips?
