Tech 21 GT2 and Fender Stage 112 if feeling solid state, Meza Boogie V Twin into a Peavey Classic 30 if feeling in a valve mood. Also happy to put the V Twin into the Fender or the GT2 into the Peavey. All combinations can go from silky smooth to phenomenal overdrive (not necessarily a nice overdrive).
The GT2 is really subtle, the V Twin I've kept hold of but TBH really worked best into something with a lot of headroom - not letting go though!

I just got a Harley Benton Vintage Overdrive (a badge-clone of the Joyo Vintage Overdrive, which itself is a clone of the original TubeScreamer) and for this price level it does really well. It goes into a Vox Pathfinder 10

I use an Analogman Silver Maxon OD-9 and a Timmy. jake has me intrigued with the Red Llama and I'd like to try a Crowther Hotcake, too.

JHS Angry Charlie; Boss DS-1 Distortion; MXR Full Bore Metal. ALL AT ONCE!
Like 'Charlie' the best.

Just a standard unmodded Rat. But I have the old rack mount R2DU with two Rat's in one with the foot switch. I use one for standard distortion and the other for a dirty boost.

Digitech Bad Monkey, pretty much a tube screamer but with a low & high EQ. That feeds into a Tech21 Oxford which is their Orange amp modeler. I use my Orange AD30 on the clean channel mostly because it has a darker sound than the lead channel.
I've also used a Russian Big Muff PI, throwing that in the mix'll make it roar. Sounds great with pinch harmonics

I was playing around at practice the other night with my Nanomuff for the bridge p/u on my 4003... I rarely use any effects for bass , but I think this is going to be part of my rig from here on out.there are a couple songs we do where a touch of grit adds a very nice dimension.

JakeK wrote:Currently, I've been enjoying the Way Huge Red Llama. Gets a nice fat sound with no loss of low end and plenty of note definition. When the Llama is used for a rhythm sound, I use an Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer for a solo boost.
Me too the Red Llama works fine with Ricks, turn a bit fine overdrive and If you want more overdrive and fuzz turn to 7 or 8. Tom Petty knows that...
