   most likely, he did just about everything else on stage, or did Peter's mike stand make a strike.

Too bad there are really only 3 Gabriel-era shows with good sound and video out there...AFAIK. I could watch them over and over again!

I may regret this one day, but I really hope they can make that happen! Either that or someone will come forward with awesome footage from the early Lamb tour or some obscure Trespass-era gig.

Man...

On another note, this one's wonderful. Phil is on fire!

You can really hear the jazz in Phil's playing on that. :D IIIRC, one of the reasons he got involved with Brand X (who I have seen a couple times in the '70s, too) was that he felt people didn't take him that seriously as a drummer as far as chops go.

BTW, Percy was my first inspiration to want to play fretless bass. Once I heard Unorthodox Behavior when it came out I pulled the frets of my '72 Telecaster Bass!

Brand X eventually morphed into Tunnels who I have seen many times, my old jazz fusion band, Rare Blend, even did a double bill with them at a gig in Baltimore; I have played that bass Percy is playing. :D

Here is me with my former July '73 4001, and drummer Paul Stranahan at that gig (note Percy's bass behind me).

This is why I like this Forum! Thanks to everyone for the clips!

(I was robbed...when I saw Brand X Phil wasn't available and Goodsall had a broken hand! They sorta did a "jazz-odyssey" gig a la Spinal Tap.)

I remember when John had his broken hand, late '70s, at Bogarts in Cinci. More time for Percy and Robin to play. 8)

Got pics?

I know I've seen you play, surprisingly enough, around the same timeframe!

1978 if I recall correctly. They backed up UK (at least at the Central Park show I saw). That was a heck of a show!
