Thanks for posting that,Just watched the whole show, that was great! I saw them play basically this same show in Drury Lane theater,London,January 1974. (A real sweet surprise birthday treat for a visiting 20 year old!) i distinctly remember PG flying through the air above the stage on the last vocal segment of Supper's Ready, too.

Brings back very fond memories! 8) I saw that show twice as Genesis worked their way across the US and then back to Cleveland on their way back home.

Indeed an experience, although I never saw a Gabriel show, these footage releases must be more pure gold for the few that did.

Interesting expressions from the rest of the band as PG wanders into his poetry  , but that's what it's all about I suppose :D .

I haven't watched the remastered HD clips of this that have recently made the rounds on the interwebs, but I've had that show on video for about 15 years. I've just about worn out my VHS copy and thankfully got a DVD copy a few years ago. It's definitely one of the best out there, if you don't mind the overdub "trickery" going on. At least it's not as blatant as the Archive Vol 1 live Lamb set.

One of my alltime favorites, probably biased as the RM is present ( which sounds like it has the cap intact), are Salmacis. Interesting the RM must be a 64, notice 1:32 there's some sort of capo holding the strings down.

Not sure if this is really the best quality version out there, but MR is coming through great :D .

It looks as though Mike's having problems with his nut (  ) as the capo, if it is one, seems to be placed there.

I'm wondering whether he suffered the same problems as I had with my six string fretless bass, that was damaged at a gig following a fight amongst the audience that erupted onto the stage area - the neck is now warped and the only way I can keep the D, G, and C strings from bouncing out of the nut when I play it is to capo the nut. The bass is about to be serviced due to this.

Unless something similar happened, and given the headstock - neck angle, I cannot think of any reason why anyone would capo a Rick in this way.
1976 4001 "Shadow" Fretless
1978 4002 Walnut
1986 4008 Silver
1999 4001 V63 White
2012 4004 Jetglo

Maybe he is just storing the capo there for use on something where he might capo up the neck?
