No circuit board here Jeff - just the basics!

That's the difference between a 2050 and a 2060.

So you are saying the 2060 has the circuit board like the 2030?
By the way John Hall ... your company did a fine job on the 2030 bass ... it is a really nice bass with a very good neck and the tone of the pickups and electronics is excellent ... it is a little quieter than most single coil basses ... the only negative I can say about the 2000 series is they aren't as pretty as the 4000 series.

The 2030 and 2050 both had the same circuit board, which had a nice little R-C circuit. The 2020 and 2060 had the more traditional hand wired circuit.
The 2050 and 2060 had binding, while the 2020 and 2030 did not, so the maple bass posted above is a model 2050. It's also missing the connector from the pickup to the circuit board and the leads have been soldered instead.

Ah, so it turns out that I have a 2060, and not a 2050. I've never been totally sure about the differences in the 2000 bass series. Thanks for the insight John!
BTW I love my 2060. I've always preferred the smooth feel of an unfinished neck and the 2060 pickups have a nice bite. The double bound body looks very sharp as well.

Thanks John ... No that mapleglo bass is a 2030 ... I take vinyl auto detailing tape and put my own fake binding ... it started out like this ...
and yes somebody did a botch up solder job on the circuit board ... I had to remove the jack and run jumper wires to reconnect the circuit

And it actually makes a nice 5 string ... it is narrower at the nut than a 4003s5 ... I installed an expensive adjustable bridge and I made the spacing wider than a 4003s5 ...
It has a lot of tonal variation ... plenty of low end and plenty of treble bite the pickups and circuit board make for a similar sound to the 4001/4003 but a little different ... a little less raw and slightly processed ... sort of part way between an active and passive bass ... I think I will pick up another on of these ...
