I dealt with this guy. Very nice and gives accurate description.

I had actually asked him to e-mail me a pic showing the edge nicks, and I never heard back. I was pondering purchasing it...

The Swami does take his time with responding to emails...
I emailed him regarding a Rick amp that he had & never got a response. I think he's real busy.
I have a 3001, which is the older version of the 2030. I love the sound & the feel of that bass - VERY heavy though.

Dealing with the Swami requires a great deal of patience. I purchsed a Jetlow '73 4001 from him a couple of years ago - it certainly wasn't the easiest transaction I've ever been involved in... and he neglected to mention a few "features" the bass posessed. If I were to deal with him again, I'd demand pictures aplenty!

I just purchased a j-bass from him. Couldn't have gone smoother.

Yep, I was looking for a 2050 (I think that's correct), the one with the binding, although I'm also attracted to the 3000 with the shortscale neck and looking at one of those. That 2030 would probably clean up real nice though!

You can't really see the binding, but here's my turqoise 2050.

William, did you see the 3000 on Ebay that Marc listed under another thread?

Like I said, I'm a big fan of those Ricks...

There's a 2000/3000 series case up on the ebay right now, with the raised metal rickenbacker logo.....

I don't think a 2030 will fit in that case ... my 2030 is like 45" +/- ... the seller says that the case is 41" inside ... that sounds like a guitar case to me ... A 2030 is pretty close to the 4000 series bass in size ...

Hey Steve: does your 2050 have a curcuit board like this in it ... or do you have volume and tone pots ...
