This bass has now been giged many times and has been under the eyes and fingers of many bass players at this weekends north east of englands guitar show and i can tell you this bass is the best sounding 4003 ricky that i have ever played and i have owned many infact on a one to one test at the guitar show this 4003 against a 1972 4001 was giged through the same SWR rig and everyone said that the 4003 had a more classic rickenbacker sound with more punch and balls.

So as a gigging bass this is it and i love it.

Many thanks to Steve Dixon for giving me the chance to rebuild this classic to my spec
all the best Dave Carr
