I am starting to get the impression that, by the time this comes out, I'll already be done with a whole new batch of tunes. I don't know how involved mastering is, but for me, that is generally the easiest part of the whole process. I just add maybe a little EQ and compression. Mixing, drumming, guitaring, singing - that's all hard work in comparison to mastering. Maybe just slap it together for us, at this point.

It's not the mastering Steve, that's about a day / day & a halfs work...it's the preperation, the listening, the choices & the transferring. I expect that to be an additional 2 days or so.
Things are finaly getting better for me here, with an incredible amount of work accomplished in a very short time. I am very pleased with what I have achieved & can only have done this with total comitment, the downside being that I haven't even been in my recording studio since Christmas....even the Carnivores album has been put on hold for a while! It really does look like it's been worth it though, but I will, however, have good news for you within the next 10 days!!!!
Meanwhile, thanks for your patience all & I hope to be a fully participating member again very shortly & to catch up on all that I've missed.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

That may be so when the recordings were all done by one artist in one studio, but most likely there will be a wide range of sound variation considering these songs came from a lot of different sources.

I think that what Brad means by "your thoughts so far" is "what are your impressions of the submissions you've heard so far".
I have listened to all of the US/North Amreica submissions, and I am duly impressed by the quality and breadth of genres. Although some entries will probably not be included due to space limitations, I'm sure that the CD as produced will be something we (i.e., all Forumites!) can be proud of.

Of course I have not heard the submissions but I have listened to the postings in the forum (pert near all of them). I agree completely on Gary's assessment about the width and breadth of the talent and the different genres out there. A very talented group out there in Ric land.

I'm starting this week!!!!!
At long last. Many apologies for the delay. I'm really looking forward to this & will keep you well & truly informed of progress. I am doing it in 'down time', so will do it over a period of days, rather than just taking 3/4 days out.

That's OK Tom, thanks for being interested. My new site can be found at www.anthonycareyart.com .
It's still being tweaked, but at least it's up & running.
