Then I found this December'73MG...all stock except for the tuners.
Notice the treble pup base. The neck on this bass is amazing.
This bass rocks!

I've owned probably 4 350 Hoffs in the last 14 years. my first RIC was a Hoffs. I own one now. They are very cool. I'll not sell this one that I own now so bugger off, lol.

Then I found this gem. An August'73JG.
It had 2 E strings on it when I got it and a slight neck problem.

I paid $300 for it. Dale has it now and it will be making it's debut in SoCal.

350?

The thread is currently centred around 350s and their derivatives as 'model of the week', Ben. However, one never gets tired of looking at Ricks of any denomination!

Consider me '******** off', John!! Image

Calling Mrs Brown, come in Mrs Brown! Your husband clearly needs to purchase a 350. It's quite sad to see the lengths he is going to just to "fit in" with the rest of the gang. Can you help out him out please? A jetglo 350 would be nice! Image

Oh, and Ben, if she actually buys you one, you can buy me a beer at SoCal. Image

Damn....I now realize I have been posting somewhat off-topic. Sorry 'bout that guys and gals.
I just came across this thread this evening and read only the first 2 pages.
I didn't realize it has evolved to those 6-string buggers.
Shoot!...and I'm not even half done!
Oh and Darren...I'll gladly buy you one anyway! Image

Mrs. Brown would gladly buy him anything his heart desires... If she could get a job that paid more than a teachers salary..
and Darren who would not go to great lengths to fit in with this crowd?? Now I guess it is back to the regularly scheduled 350s Show...

Aitch, you've got a surplus of 350's now, why not have a Hoffs-conversion done on one?

Interesting idea, John. I wouldn't want to do it with one of my current ones. Perhaps a 'less than perfect' common or garden 350 might be the go. Hmmmmm........

Howard, I thought you would have known by now that there's no such thing as a common and/or garden variety 350. Image

Howard, thanks for the offer. She certainly needs a good polish. Everytime I polish it up I always end up playing it again.

After many cycles of this behaviour I decided to give up.

I'm in Aus and have been quietly getting myself a decent collection together. I'm up to 9 Ricks now. Help is needed.
