If there's another CD, then the idea of further submissions would most likely need to be dealt with... Talk of another CD before the first one comes out is amazing!

I certainly appreciate all the effort and time everyone has put into the project, including those that took the time to write, record and submit their songs, along with Tony, Gary and Peter.

Not really Brad, as it would certainly change my ideas for the cut, knowing that I wasn't actually cutting anyone, but just moving them to the next. Also, like I said, the submissions have been very creative & certainly more than just one albums worth (not quite enough for two). Also, for those that record themselves, a series of recordings is the very best way to chart your progress. Lastly...once you've done one project like this, the pitfalls are a known quantity, so the whole process could be honed, making subsequent CD's a LOT quicker & easier.

OK.....there is to be TWO CD's. I don't have quite enough for the second CD, so I will invite further submissions on another thread when I've sorted this one. This has to be, as first of all, I have too much good stuff for a single CD & secondly, I know there are some that didn't contribute & would have wanted to. A single CD simply isn't long enough to include the majority of contributing forumites.

This makes it so much easier, as now I will not be making any cuts, but simply assigning them to one or the other CD's. An example is....I had three incredibly creative bass only tracks & I didn't want to leave a single one out, but now I can choose purely on the balance of the CD & for no other reason.

Ideally, I would have liked to do a double album, to alieviate anybody feeling that the second album was second best (most certainly not), but that would take longer, as I would have to recieve further submissions.

Cool! Image

BTW, Tony, you have my permission NOT to use the first song I submitted with the click track in the background--that was my first-ever attempt at using my recording unit, and I couldn't figure out how to turn that darn track off after I had my guitar track down.... (technologically challenged, LOL!) The second song I submitted was much, much better, and with a much better story, as you know.... Image

Let me know if you need to fill space. I have dozens of songs I've done since my original submission that are much better than it is.

I've got about 4 CD's worth of Rickenbacker tunes if you want.

Thanks guys...I also have a whole album of 100% Ric stuff on the Carnivores album, but I don't think it will be required, as I think there are several out there who didn't submit for the first album that would like to submit for a second.

Incidently Jason...yours was the submission that I had trouble with, but it's all sorted now!

Julio...the right one was chosen anyway, as per your original preference!...Melissa, your second submission was selected as per your original request.....

Yeah, kind of a long tune, huh? I'm almost tempted to say scrap it and let me re-track half of the dang thing. It sounds **** compared to what I've done lately.

You know what they say Jason....the best song you've ever written is the NEXT one!!!

That certainly applies to me!

By the way, I just recorded a new song this last week with full on 730L-12 throughout on rhythm guitar and the guitar solo on my 360DCM. Bass is 4003 of course. How many songs are going to have THAT combo of RICs?
