Yes, I am the other "youngin". I have a '76 JG 4001, and I'm getting it turned into a Geddy Lee tribute. It'll be after his 'Hemispheres' bass, which was a '77.
Am I the only one that noticed the 'Hemispheres' reference? Great quote!
What you said.
"I was obsessed, my wife thought me mad, I told my story further, wondered and was sad."
Real verse.
"Apollo was atonished;
Dionysus thought me mad.
But they heard my story further,
And they wondered, and were sad."
Hahahaha! I like him already!
Here's my bass right now.. I need new plastic.
Sorry I took so long, but WELCOME!

Hey Blair! Great to see you're still around!
Hahaha, I expected you would find it, Robert! I'm surprised you didn't!
Brian, I love that war room pic. I'd kill for one 4004, let alone 4. The JG and the TG are my favorites.. I want an all all black 4004 with pickups like the LK.

I bought the bass (a '77 4001) from a forum member, and somewhere in it's life it had a Schaller roller bridge fitted. It does the job, but I don't think I'd run out to buy more. It does allow you to adjust string spacing, but the roller saddles are all over the place during a string change!
(Glad I switched to Chromes!
)
Never heard of Adrian Davison, though.

What do you mean the Bass is too loud???

Welcome Shawn,
Congrats on your Rick and quiting smoking!
The Toaster / HS pickups are a great combo aren't they!
I logged on here in '94 after getting my mapleglo V63. I love that bass and thought I would never need another bass (though I have an old Fender too), but two months ago I got another V63! You know, I just needed a back-up! Just in case! Plus this one's Fireglo! Now I need to find one in Jetglo!
