I saw KISS twice....once in '96 at their first reunion tour and about a year or so after. The first show was amazing.....great energy, playing and showmanship. The second show was completely lame. Just like they were going through the motions. Ted Nugent as an opener was great though so it was worth it.
They are excellent (IMO) up to KISS Alive II. Just a great band with a killer act. Take them for what they are.

Brian, I felt the same way. I saw every tour from '81 to the reunion show at Tiger Stadium in 1996. Alice in Chains opened, which was to be their next-to-last show.
GREAT show.
Then I saw them on New Years Eve on the Psycho Circus tour. I felt like I got taken. That was the last one I went to.

"KISS performed as a TRIO for the first time ever"
LIES! They did it once in 1981 when Ace didn't show up for a tv thing. It was just Gene Paul and Eric doin "I".
And I agree with one of the greatest voices in Rock n' Roll thing. Paul is amazing.
Brian, Alive 2 is, like the first, totally fake. There are a couple of songs on that album that they never ever performed live during those tours.

Nate, that performance was a mimed show where they did only one song, Not a full show where the playing was indeed live.
So where's the lie you speak of?
