And unlike about 10% of Rick sellers on Ebay, she also put the strings on the tuners the right way!

Congratulations!

And I'm happy too.

'Cuz now I can (pretty much) be sure that I'll never bring mine to a gig in Chicago, only to find that the bass player in the warm-up band is also playing a 4003STurq!

Did Rickenbacker a colour called "Teal"?
I know in the 1950th RIC had some guitars in teal.
I don´t know it exactly, but I think this here is Tourqoise.
Or did they made a special colour on some items in the ninetys?

No, RIC never made a color called "teal." The one you are getting is, indeed, "Turquoise."

The green color in the '50s was Cloverfield Green, I believe. There were a few experiments with greenburst in the late '60s, a 330, a 360 (both of which are in Milwaukee), a 360/12, and possibly a 4001, but the color was never put into "production."

Currently, the only "green" is the Transparent Green found only on 4004Cii basses (when they make them).

Finally, the 4003 S arrived today :D .
The bass is in perfect condition and sounds amazing. I´m so happy with it.
I still can´t believe that this 4003S turquoise is really mine.

Albrecht, I can't believe it, either. It keeps popping up on eBay. Was there a moment ago, and when I opened it, eBay says it was removed. Somebody keeps trying to relist it. Glad you got it!

Hi, guys. So what's the difference between ste-neck and neck through? Thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom!

Congrats and enjoy your bass, Albrecht!

Javier, set neck instruments have the neck glued into a pocket on the body, with neck through body instruments, the neck stock goes the entire length of the body. The body wings are glued on to the neck stock.

Here is a pic of my set neck 4001S showing the set neck heel joint.
