Neck through. No set-necks after the early '80s.

When production went to the 4003 design, the 4000, 4001, and 4001S gradually went away. How you define "away" is uncertain, as the fretless 4001 was still in the company brochures up to '92 (IIRC). However, when the 4003S was introduced, it was neck through.

Turquoise is a great color. This one looks a little dark, but it's probably the photos. I don't know if Jeff Thomas is bidding or if he might even be the seller?

Hmmm...Well that's freaky! No, I'm not bidding or selling!

I'd better check and make sure mine is still at home!

Prior to today I thought I might have the only 4003STurq. :(

Mine is identical to this one and in the same condition. Same year, too.

*Well...except maybe this one that's just a few blocks away!!

And my case has a brown leather compartment handle pull whereas his has a black one! Other than that, these two are twins!

No TRC on that cake? I think it's fake. A Rickenfakercaker.

I find it humorous that a non-musician and non-artist, unskilled in the art of guitar-making made a more accurate Rick bass reproduction out of frosting than many of the Japanese Rickenfakers were able to achieve in the 70's.

And unlike about 10% of Rick sellers on Ebay, she also put the strings on the tuners the right way!
