Ummm..... Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford and Rick Wakeman? You'd better get used to songs in 13/16 time, bizarre key changes and the odd bit of friction.... The issue is, you've got Jon on drums, Bill on keys and Rick on vocals....winston wrote:Aitch, Joey and I are pleased to announce that ICBM has recently added two new band members. Both are extremely well known individuals. World famous really. We are really exited about this new development as it will help broaden our horizons.
We now have a drummer and a singer. We have also approached another well known and popular musician to play keyboards for us. We will all be recording in cyberspace together. For those who may be interested we will try keep you posted on any new developments.
In the mean time just to add a bit of intrigue, lets hear your guesses as to who these people are. Remember they are well known musicians.

Well.................here's a couple of hints.8mileshigher wrote:C'mon Brian --- you need to give us a little more of a hint.... age group, type of music style, Record label, last know TV appearance or something. At this stage, I am guessing Ringo and Fifty Cent.
The drummer is also a mean guitar player and has a whole collection of Rickenbacker instruments. The singer is an incredible singer and he also has a huge collection of Rickenbacker instruments. They have recorded together before and are great friends away from the music business. They are also friends of ours (the rest of ICBM).
Any more clues and I will be giving their ID's away.

Oddly enough there's a forum connection of sorts between your good self and the 'unknown party', Rich!

Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.
Re: The Very Latest ICBM - Original Recording
Very well done. Graham is correct Sheena
....................he's a member of the new group with Aitch, Joey, Darren and I. While the name ICBM will remain active the four of us will actually be recording together under an entirely new name.

Headline? No I don't think so Rich. It may prove to be a logistal feat to even get some of us there. I am talking to Joey about the possibility of me travelling to California at that time so we will see what we can do about belting out a couple of tunes.8mileshigher wrote:The mystery revealed !!

Stay tuned (but please be patient) we have picked out a song to record that we all know and one that we believe that we can do a decent cover of. Look for a December-January release. Behind the scenes we are still working out a process for cyber recording that we can all be comfortable with.

Hi Brian
Have you had a look at N Track.
It has a facility whereby you can transfer individual tracks over the net.
You can download a test copy from http://www.ntrack.com
Click on the TRACK drop down menu, "net transfer" is at the bottom.
Alternatively, what I have done in the past is convert a wav file to mp3 and send that. The "producer" then converts it back to wav when installing it on his recording software and away you go !!!

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Hi Shane,
I'll take a look at N Track. We have been considering a variation of the second option you proposed for some time now.
Thanks for the info mate.
