Thank You for the courage to say the price as first. O.K. I will be the second one: I´m able to pay about $ 4000+ for one certificated Rickenbacker bass from limited edition, in some attractive finish (the white is not a condition), with the horseshoe + toaster PUs, checkered body and headstock binding, acrylic finger rest, crushed MOP full inlays and push/pull vintage/modern sound( with active electronic), similar, like all features on Harleybacker prototype
I´m a naive newbie only, so I expected lot of demands with the similar price from the RRF members. Where is a big demand, should be given corresponding offer. Now I see, the 2 pcs limited edition in total value 2x$4000 is not the best key to change the programms in RIC´s CNC machines
O.K. Here we go again. Question for everybody: What is Your dreamed-of Rickenbacker? I mean a new one, not existing models and vintage jewels .

Zden, a 2008 4003MG with neck toaster at 1/2" spacing, reissued mid 60s magnetic horseshoe bridge pickup, and checkered body binding. That would make me buy a new bass! BTW, we are almost there with production models!

Thanks Joey. Since hearing the Hendrix’s Experience (all those years ago) with Noel's eight, playing a Hagstrom a couple years later in a music store, then actually getting Ricken-itis, Squire's and Entwhistle's eights and so on... well all I can say is ‘thanks Dane and his luthier Bruce for making this possible'. I hope when I play it that I do justice to the way it ought to be played. If the folks at Ric ever got back into the 8 biz I highly recommend the 4004L as the base for the base.
