Hey all - I enlisted the aid of a few online tools including 'Spyware Terminator' which revealed that I indeed had a Spyware program installed in my computer, and appears to have gotten rid of it. (fingers crossed.) I've also switched to the Mozilla/Firefox browser. Overall, my internet connection is running faster and without weird glitches, but some of my applications (Windows media player, and some of my CD burning software) are messed up and may need to be reinstalled. So I take back all that stuff I said about a "possible RRF site virus."

Thanks again all for the great advice!
