We were only backstage for all of five minutes. Roger was packing up his guitars and was kind enough to sign the things I brought. I knew my wife had her camera, but I didn't push the issue. I was happy to get what I could.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying, Drumbob. "Discretion is the better part of valor." I'm happy for you and your brief encounter with Mr. McGuinn. Quite honestly, the residue of what inhabits your cranium from that experience far outweighs any autograph or pic you scored or could have scored. It's the moment you will long remember. Just my dos centavos' worth. Late.......Goofyfoot.drumbob wrote:We were only backstage for all of five minutes. Roger was packing up his guitars and was kind enough to sign the things I brought. Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

From what I have heard, Camilla controls absolutely everything about Roger's shows, including what he plays, what he says, etc.
I can confirm that. It is really kind of weird.

Roger reportedly has eye trouble and does not pose for fan photos.

Well, the memory of meeting him would be all I needed.

I got to hang out with Roger for a couple of days last week while we were working on a concert/documentary. At the end of the day, I figured that a signed album or a picture would be too typical and since he doesn't really sign personal autographs anymore I figured I would go for something special - my vintage Rickenbacker guitar case!JakeK wrote:If I got to meet Roger, I wouldn't want to get anything signed, but I would want a photo
