Ahhh, this is just the thread I needed.

My ric (and my non rics) are stored over near the window at the moment, as due to our place not being the largest, that's the only place I could lay them flat without them being in the middle of the room and upsetting my wife, but I was worried that it might be a little damp over there, especially in winter,... now I'm going to take from your leads and keep mine vertically, headstock up, in the hardcase.

That's what I wanted to do before, but I worried there might be a reason for not doing that.

Right next to the heater and hot water tank inside the garage where the elements are with the necks face down and the cases at an angle. Please.
