Super cool axe! Congratulations, Brian!
With the controls back by the bridge, you can do the Pete Townshend windmills without fearing your hand bumping the switch and knobs!

Brian: Nice acquistion. Your thinning the herd works along the same lines as mine. It also fits with my policy of buying high and selling low. You have to love the role of guitars in our lives.

According to the seller it's a 2004 Jason. I have not had a chance to confirm that mind you.
Edit: The seller actually said it was a 2004. I don't why I typed 1994 initially.

Thanks everyone. We have a perfect day for photography so I'll take some pics and post them a bit later.
I used Scratch X to remove a few swirl marks on the pickguard. Other than that there is only one tiny mark the size of a pin head on the tip of the headstock. It's a very clean guitar for it's age.
Peter, I actually sold a few a few Strats and some other unused equipment. I was well on the way to getting my herd thinned out, but this guitar seemed like a nice attractive addition to my small collection of guitars and basses. Since I am a player and not a collector I usually prefer to keep instruments with good utility. This one is definitely a keeper.

Except Wilshires aren't as ugly as TC-90s
Anyway, I missed this thread until now

Can't say I've ever seen one of those before, but it's definitely a cool looking guitar! Congrats!
I'l bet my Tele-loving guitarist friend would be green with envy over that one...

Thanks Paul. I bet Pete would love one of these since he seems to be using highly modified Strats these days. This would certainly give him a wide tonal range.

This guitar must be of some interest to you Werner with all its Gibson like appointments.

Well, when I saw the picture of the pick-ups and scratch plate I wondered who mixed a LP Studio, LP Double Cut Away, SG and Wilshire into one guitar.
How much does it way, btw?

How much does it weigh? According to my bathroom scale, it weighs 8 lbs. It is not a particularly light guitar.

Sure, blame the guitar for the extra weight, eh
I bet it was them Ric-O-Chocs
Anyway, 8 lbs? How hollow is that thing? Just an f-hole and that's it?

I'll take a look under the hood when I change strings in a week or two. I suspect that it is just chambered on the one side.
