I Tried Reducing my Collection

Post by winston »

............and I was succeeding. But something rather special jumped out at me yesterday at a very decent price. It's a tone monster besides being a beauty. I know this is a bit of a tease but I like so many others have done in the past, I will reveal the details of this instrument in multiple parts using photos to illustrate what it is.

I picked it up today and have just finished setting it up to suit my playing style.

I will say this much........it is a 6 string guitar. If anyone guesses precisely what it is, then I will post pics of the complete guitar.

Let the guesses begin.

Brian: May we safely assume that it is an electric and not a Fender?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Given the section this post is in I assume it is not a Rickenbacker?

Let's bypass the usual possible suspects and go wild, eh?

Peter,

You may assume that it's electric.

MIJ? The pic looks like an ESP/Edwards LP Special.... :?

But the 'guard is wrong and the cut-out looks more "tele-esqe" then "LPish"

It's a very common brand................... it is a model that had a very short tenure and was discontinued.
