Thank you, and the others, for the bass compliments. There is no steep climb on the neck. Must just be the photo. Nice low action on a pretty straight neck. I still barely play it though. It mostly just comes out of the case for photo opportunities.Ashgray wrote:+1

That said, and looking closely at that first shot, are there neck angle issues with this bass? The action seems to be climbing steeply - particularly noticeable on the E string.

I have no idea how many might have been made without doing some extensive research. Personally I've always liked that combination, in fact, most of the black trim models. I introduced that option after driving around with Rene Schaller in Germany with his fire engine red Mercedes 300TE with full Euro black treatment. In my mind's eye, that still stands out as one of the best looking cars I've ever seen doing 230 kpm on the Autobahn.
Unfortunately, the market did not particularly agree with my aesthetic sense, at least at that time.
