Brian, Lemmy was one of the first people asked but he hasn't answered yet. As such he's going to miss the playbill but we already have a walk-on slot set aside for him if he can make it. He's on tour in Europe on both sides of this date but there is a break at the time of our show. What's still unknown is if he'll return home to LA during his time off.

A DVD would be fairly unlikely for a variety of reasons I can't discuss yet, except for the fact that there's some serious hoops to jump through at House of Blues to do video.

However, Jefferson Starship has kindly donated the rights to the soundboard recording to the Museum of Making Music if they wish to release it. The other artists will be given the chance to "donate" similarly if they're so inclined.

John,

Your the BEST. You really do try to cover every angle! THANK YOU.

That would be a great fund raiser indeed! Should they decide to produce a cd, I'm in for a copy!

This is really killing me not being able to attend.

If the artists are signing posters for the Museum for a fundraiser, I'm in for that too!

Holy cow, this is unbelievable.
I've got my credit card at the ready once tickets go on sale, afraid I'll get busy signals til they're sold out!

Jerry, Imagine how Howard and I feel! We have to contend with the whole time zone thing as well. We're not travelling 12,000 miles to miss this event!

Thanks for the info John!

I love the thought of Lemmy playing amongst the rest of the acts. It should be a rather interesting mix if it should happen.

Tom Petty, according to his website, has a two week break from touring between the dates of 8/19 - 9/10. Will he show up for the Shindig?

I don't think I've ever been this amped up about anything before!

My wife likes Tom Petty more than I like Chris Squire. If Petty shows up there WILL be an emotional scene. You should have seen her when Chris Isaac shook her hand and signed autographs for us!

If John could get Geddy Lee to show up maybe you guys could talk him into touring with Ricks again.

Wouldnt that be something now,,,Geddy Lee and Chris Squire on the same stage ???

Final House of Blues show lineup:

Jefferson Starship
Chris Squire & Band
The Smithereens
Minus 5
Susanna Hoffs/Matthew Sweet & Band
Billy Hinsche & Band
Marty Willson-Piper and the Electric Mood Maidens
Hautewerk

I'm told these will be up for sale on Ticketmaster and the HOB box office sometime over the weekend. You'll have almost a week before the print ads appear, at which time I hope, for the sake of the Museum, all 1050 tickets will sell out immediately.
