I race a British Racing Green '62 MG Midget. I've heard green is bad luck for racers. I guess we'll find out...

Paul, I don't own it. I have been thinking about buying....
It runs and drives fine with a Mopar 383 engine and 727 Tranny. Now finding those original Italian original rear light covers that could cost as much as an engine rebuild....
They are very rare. One handmade a week, for 5 years. You could drive you whole lifetime and never see one..

Wints, an FF is the 4WD variant with the extended front sheet metal.
This is an FF, right?
The lamp lens can be reproduced by FDM machine for a whole lot less than an enging rebuild. But you need a borrowed set of originals to scan.

That is correct Paul. The longer front wings because of the 4WD housing and the FF has two side vents on said wings instead of one on the normal Interceptors.
Actually, the lamps on this car are good, but very few of the originals are still around.

Not on topic (if the topic is cars) and sort of on topic (if the topic is Rickenbackers) but Rickenbacker also did a few "Orange=glo" guitars as well. Never seen a picture of one, but when the discussion of the greenglo came up a few years ago John Hall admitted that a few orange ones were floating about. John, how about some pictures? Please.... To keep me occupied until you rerelease the lightshows!

Orangeglo is intriguing. I recall seeing pictures of one not too long ago.
Looked like a big ol' melted Dreamsicle with Bellflower pipes.

Yes, "The Orange"...another colour from the late 60's in the "experimental stage". Rumoured to exist, but never seen in the official version...
Bit like the Loch Ness Monster...
"The Orange"...It's all beginning to sound like a political discussion from Kiev...

Well we've seen '60s "shaded blue", "cherry red" and "greenglo". On the Rickenbacker site, you can even see a "glow-in-the-dark" guitar and I'm not talking about a Lightshow. I want to see an "orange-glo" guitar!

I've seen that 360 from the book in person - Matt what's-his-name had it high on the wall of Guitars-R-Us on the Sunset strip. Shop is closed now.
Someone drilled holes for an upper pickguard on the other side, like it had been used as a lefty. Look close in the Bacon book, you can see them.

I'm not sure I care for that particular shade of green.... It looks like a fireglo or MB as seen on a monitor with a very bad color setting, and the hue looks just a little like some bad meat found way in the back of the refrigerator.... Don't ask me how I know, LOL!
