Green sunburst double bound 360

Post by brian_l »

I noticed the green sunburst early 70s 360 in the Bacon and Day "Rickenbacker Book" and I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me more about it.
Did the guitar come from Rickenbacker with this finish? Were anymore guitars sprayed at the factory like this? Would it be possible to have my 1998 360/6 refinished in this color? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also want to say that I just joined this forum after spending a few days of reading and I have to say that I really like this place!

Welcome Brian. Your question is a good one. I will start the ball rolling by sending you here.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Welcome, Brian! It is a good question. I wondered about it myself.

A hearty welcome from me too, Brian!

I have to say that the green doesn't grab me, but I'm sure there are many fans out there in the 'Rickosphere'!!

Ed Roman in Las Vegas promotes his green refinish (and pink - yeccchhh!), so if you are really keen, it might pay to contact him or at least check out his web site. Don't expect anything other than top dollar, though!!

Yum, I think I posted on this thread before about Greenglo guitars. I think it might be in the archives. I also know I posted on another forum about the same thing, and their archives might feature it too.

Labas and welcome!

It is possible to refinish a Rick in any color, even tasteless ones.

Brian you have great christian or first name IMO but your taste in color is questionable. LOL

I almost had my '75 430 refinned in Pink for my 18 yr. old daughter. She was ok with it being stock though. Smart girl.

Maybe the ones here aren't pink after all. Just a lousy shot of Fireglos......

I'm sure he'd do it if you asked!!

It takes a dad to know!

(A dad who was gonna Romanize a Rick!)

The title of this thread sounds like some sort of aerobatic maneuver...
