The company is not for sale or being marketed. Your source is full of it and you should tell them to stop spreading such baloney.

Does that mean we still might get the Apple Corp. Green finish in the next year or so?

THANK YOU MR.HALL for setting the record straight....on another note, the p\u's in my new Ric are as hot as the active p\u's in my other basses..I've been "out of the loop" for a while, and to pick up a new Ric and have it be as loud and punchy as my newer "modern" basses is a wonderful thing..I've been a Ric player since '85, the recent past has led me to other basses with more modern features but, everything has come full circle...let's just say,it's great to be home again..

Hey John Williams!!!! I REFUSE to let you throw cold water on my dream for the Apple Corp. Green finish! Mr. Hall, on the other hand, might end up throwing that cold water my way. (I certainly hope that doesn't turn out to be the case.) But YOU do not have that privilege!
{I sense the beginning of a personal crusade. For moral support, I'm enlisting Paul Yan as my co-conspirator.}
Like I said before in another post: In the end, it doesn't matter what you call it. But the green finish is beautiful & unique enough to warrant at least a special 1 year production run. And it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if it became a permanent finish option.

Jeffery's co-conspirator here.
John Williams has a valid realistic reasoning, but I do wish the green gems dream can come true.
Cheers to all.

it's funny this green topic came up..one of my other(non-Ric) basses has the most beautiful transparent emerald green finish, and I was just sayin to one of my bandmates that I wish green was one of finish options for a Ric.....I can see it now,a trans emerald green 4004 or a emerald green or maybe a greenburst(trans green center fading to black) 4003 w\black trim..that would be awsome..espically with St. Patrick's day comin and me being Irish and my love of the color green.I would jump on one of these in a heartbeat...so Jeffery and Paul,I will back you up on this....

I wouldn;t mind seeing a green tilting heavily toward the blue side as opposed to the yellow side of the spectrum. KInda like Sea Green but much darker. THAT would be cool! Lime green - um no, thanks!

JohnJohnJohn!! I beg to differ. The green as shaded in the pix Paul Yan posted is NOT lime, at least not the way MY aging eyes see it. It's more of an apple green. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

DOh! I wasn't implying the pic WAS lime green! Not at all! Merely that lime green is a HIdeous color and should never be put onto any instrument except a kazoo IMHO
"Apple" green is neat, no denying! I'm just stating a preference for a more bluish tint;)
Read my mind, not my typing

Would this "Apple Corps Green" also include the brown specks inherent in the skin of the Apple Corps logo?
Oh, and would the white insides of the apple be visible on the "B"(back) side?
(nudge, nudge... wink, wink)
;P

Can't resist looking at them for one more time:
APPLE
GREEN
GLOS
Imaging a 4003 in this Greenglo finish....mmm, please let me have a bite of the green apple.
Think we'd better continue the discussion in a new thread:"Greenglo".
