Yeah, that guy must think he has a 4001CS! That one looks like mine except overall mine is in better shape and I only paid $1100.00 for it.

Nearly 2K for that..and still unsold?? I,m sorry, but that,s a crazy price for a 73 without the full monty features. The fact that it got bid to that $$$ is another thing too...Marc,s bass is looking a deal already!!

Yeah, but the high bid was a zero feedback. I don't count that as rising market as much as foolish seller.
BTW, mine shows up tomorrow!

It's a good thing it didn't sell. A reality check on fast rising prices.

When you have zero feedback and don't take paypal, you have to expect to get less for your item. IMO, $1500 is alot to start. i would encourage anyone starting out on ebay to make some smaller purchases or sales first, get the feedback going, set up paypal and then go for large items.

Well so far we have a couple of zeros, so either end could be the shafter.
No matter what the prize, I won't bid on an auction of this size from a 0 feedback person. It's too easy to steal pics and create bogus auctions.

The fact that he relisted it makes me think the original high bidder was fake(I did notice it was the same bidder on the 4001cs)because he still could have offered that thing to guy as a second chance offer.2K would be a record on ebay for that bass. What's wrong with that?

OK now check out who the current high bidder is, and met the reserve with one bid, I smell fish.

It doesn't even make sense. How would that get people to bid higher?I'm still not paying 2K to some guy who not only has no record of selling anything, how do I know he knows how to pack it?There aren't many who would buy a vintage instrument that wouldn't be concerned with that.
One of the reasons I was so willing to buy mine was the guys experience with selling and shipping items(even though none were guitars).

Originally I e-mailed the seller and said I,d take a look in person, it,s less than an hours drive and bring $$$ with me. It doesn,t get any easier than that...Didn,t hear anything back, which leads me to believe we all should stay well away from this one.

I think it's a bogus deal all around. If I was selling a legit item and you offered to come over and bring cash, Andrew it's yours.
