Since when is fireglo rare?

Keith, I would love to play more Kinks tunes, our first set is the early Beatles, the second is the later stuff, and our third set is Brit Invasion tunes. I love the Kinks. And yes, a lot of costume changes. The first of the year is our slow period, taken up by shopping for new psychedelic clothes! Arrgghh!!!

Its the dressing room (did I say dressing room, sorry I meant to say the gents toilet in most cases)fiasco that really gets me. 5 guys all squeezed into an area 6'x 6',sometimes it isnt fun! We do a 1st set of general 60's and that includes 3 Beatles numbers on the bounce.The second set is a straight hour of The Kinks biggest. I love The Beatles though! I dont think there would be too many Ric owners who didnt.

Believe me I know the drill. Trying to change your pants and shoes without stepping in ****. It's such a relief to get to a venue and find out we have a dressing room. Got a 4 hour drive to Houston tomorrow for a 64th birthday party. Should be VERY exciting.

Do you guys have the red hunting(?)jackets?
Do you wear your Ric up high like Peter Quaife? I always thought that looked way cool. My Fireglo 4003 is backup for my 4001S and rarely gets played, but on occasion I'll ask the guitar tech to shorten up the strap and I use it in the 3rd set for a PQ vibe.

Yes we do wear them. We obviously had to have them all made to measure, trousers as well. I was never too happy with the cut of them though. They cost us lots of £££££'s and they arent accurate enough for me. Joe Public dont notice it but a diehard might. We arent precious and to the letter with it all though. I obviously use a 4003 which Quaife didnt, but at least its fire(steady Jim)glo. The bass isnt held high either. I do also use a custom P-bass in sonic blue which Q used. He played some great lines. Guitar tech....whats one of those? You lot must be earning too much money! I dont blame you one bit, if we could we would. I really dont envy you the 4 hour drive. Sorted dressing room....heaven! If there is a proper DR it is usually full of **** though!
