"Some finish imperfections, but none that go into the wood?" The whole lower part of the guitar has had the finish gnarled off of it and that is a "finish imperfection"? Interesting wear pattern, must have used it for a stand-up bass, or used a chain for a guitar strap!

Welcome to the forum Keith. Bet you didn't know you had a rare finish (FG) did you? "There is a wealth of information on the web about these classics, so I won't bother going into all the specs etc". He sure must not have read any of the said "wealth" of info. I can't remember who was talking awhile back about the clown that stood on the horns of his RIC and spun like a top, but could this be the bass?
Is everybody ready?
Hi Keith, no problems, I'm not keen on the Tux either, for that matter any exotic, non Fireglo finish, Mapleglo for me is just a Fireglo waiting ot be finished right !!
For the record if I ever got say, a 4002, or a 4001-cs, I'd have them refinished in Fireglo, sick I know !!
