Yet another one. Check Ebay item 923060906,
"Vintage Rickenbacker Bass Guitar". This one had me burst out laughing! Check the Rickenbacker (?) logo - there is something very wrong with the lettering. See if you can spot further details that give this instrument away as a FAKE - there are many of them!

Is this a fake? the blue looks off and there is no binding. It may be a 4000(?) but the ad said it was a 4001.

I think it is genuine, although I think it has been refinished at some point...IMO it looks a little light for a period Azureglo finish.
