Sorry. Not trying to be an *** with this little bump. I just want to keep it near the top. If I don't get my fix vicariously, I'll have to purchase this:

Which would seriously violate my new years resolution ...

What's the point of a resolution if you are not going to violate it!

Well, the resolution was "no guitar purchases on credit". If it hangs around for another year, we'll see. This thread has me seriously interested in converter models, though. I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled no matter what happens to this one.

Of course, my resolution could also be phrased, "I resolve not to get divorced or run through with a bladed weapon this year."

Oh, and I'm supposed to be re-dedicating myself to acoustic guitar ...

I'm full of excuses, really.

Thanks! I'm in today (Sunday) to string this one up and ready it for shipping. These storms have been playing havoc with my schedule... power went out on Friday at 5:30 AM and is still not back on. They're saying Wednesday "at the latest". I have watched as Sausalito has gradually come back on-grid, then most of Mill Valley: about 95%. Unfortunayely in this case, we live in an old cottage in an old part of town, up on a hill, and all the wires up here are on poles. Last I heard, there were 300 poles down. P, G, and E has brought in workers from all over the state, and they're working as weather permits. We've lost a whole refrigerator and freezer of food, can't use an emergency generator, as it violates noise ordinances in our community.

Can't use a generator because of noise ordinances? Geez. Surely noise violations would be the least of the city's worries.

I know I'd withdraw that charge in a second.

Power back on Sunday night 7pm. Monday I restock the fridge.

Power out Monday night. Back on within two hours.

Power out this morning for about three hours. Then on again, out again at 7:45 pm. On again at 8:15...

There are no winds since Sunday...

Pulled the 366/12 out of its case for the first time, Sunday. It needed a complete color-sanding and re-buff, again. Sometimes older guitars have a grain pattern that's more open, especially if they're dry climate guitars. The paint and clearcoat then shrink into the grain; this one had been encased for a few weeks. This was a minor delay; careful work has once again brought it to a mirror-finish. But the hardware (including all 12 tuners) had to be pulled, the pickups unsoldered , etc.

Tomorrow it's re-assemble and set up. Hopefully it'
ll ship by week's end.
