The first album I bought and paid for was..."Help!" by The Beatles, June 2001

My first good hifi was a Webcor given to me by my aunt,. It really sounded good with a 5 watt tube amp and a 6X9" woofer and two 4" tweeters. It said verified High fidelity under the mahogany cover.
I now have another one which also sounds good, also have a Webcor turntable that works great.

I love jazz and have most of Miles, Coltrane's, Mingus's and Monk's stuff along with a lot of other jazz LP's and CD's.

My first album was a gift. It was the Purple People Eater. Then came The3 Beatles Second Album (gift also). My first album I bought was The Kingsmen In person. Then it was a Bill Cosby LP. My Beatles albums were always presents. So were The Beach boys. I think my very first bought lp was a CCR album. Every piece of vinyl I actually bought were the '45's. Remember those little things with the big holes? My fist CD, however was The Dire Straits Brother In Arms and a copy of Beethoven's 6th which didn't play on my very first cd player. Had to return the player for another one. First generation of cd players the U.S. encountrered.
