The one that got away

Post by highway_star »

I stopped by a local shop to check out a guitar. As I was getting ready to leave, I mentioned to him to look out for an early 70s 4001. He told me that someone had just put a jetglo 72 on layaway the prior week. He then pulled it out to show me. It was in great shape! It had very little wear for its age and was only missing the bridge pickup cover.

Just my luck!

Ron, I'm sure one will come your way eventually. You never know, maybe the guy who has that '72 on layaway won't finish paying it off. Make sure that music store owner knows how much you are interested if that happens. Good luck with finding one.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Yes in a music store, you can find them semi-regularly on ebay. I bought my 72 4001FL from ebay a few years ago, did my homework with the seller and I got a really nice bass.

I missed a nice, well-worn 73(?) last year by literally 5 minutes. I cried.
